Session = 48 hrs
Date = 8 - 10/8/04
Venue = Chilham Mill
Wind = Variable
Water temperature = 76f
Low oxygen levels have made the carp lethargic and only seem to want to feed whilst the pump is running, Those that fished this area did fairly well, I would rather let the carp get their much needed oxygen in peace, so fished the far end of the lake, hoping to pick up a nomadic carp or two, also due to the amount of naturals in the lake this year it's going to be a different kettle of fish than last year, Monday night it rained hard right through to the early hours however the rain eased off at 10.30pm and I had a take on my left hand rod producing a lively mirror of 16lb-0oz, then the heavens opened up again, with no more takes packed away at midday.

Well done Allan At least you stuck at it, i think that most anglers would have gone home with the weather the way it has been, Hot sticky and heavy rain. At least didn't blank, thats the main thing

fishing in snow. dont you just love it ;D waking up in the morning, lines stuck in ice, great feeling;) i caught mild frostbite once fishing in snow for two nights. had to go to hospital, really REALLY painfull. the hospital thought id broke both my feet at first, that how bad it was. x-rays and everything. wont stop me going in winter though, best time to go fishing IMO, quiet waters, harder, and you have to think alot more. best part about it i got 4 weeks off school ;D ;D

It felt good to be amongst the Carp again this week having four takes and all fish landed, they included three commons of 10lb-4oz,14lb-12oz,20lb-8oz and a mirror of 18lb-8oz. All fish were taken on one rod and fell to bottom baits which were 18mm Premier Matrix boilies. Cast to an overhanging willow at 115 yards.

Lurch I shall be on The Mill as their is a lot of work I have to complete, cutting back walkways etc, so I will set up where I can and will be somewhere on the mill, hoping to get on the Transformer.
Bit of comfort and a few fish too hopefully as I will take a two man bivvy for this session.
