Shakey's Gallery A 15lb common taken from my current lake. Only a small one but after 30 session in trying it was more than welcome !! I caught the fish just to the left of that buoy.

I fish a place called Ardleigh reservoir which is just north of Colchester.
It's not for the faint hearted as it's 120 acres in size, full of big shoals of bream and lots of mussel beds. However, it is a bit of an unknown as no one really knows the stock in there, and no one really talks about what they catch from there.
The fish in there are mint though. The common in the picture was in A1 nick and still had the curtain inside it's mouth ;D There are fully scaled mirrors in there at 30+ and they look just out of this world.
It sure is a head banger and I would consider 5 carp a season a result for me. But the advantages for me is that there are some un-named lumps in there to go for and you can have acres of lake to yourself.
I would imagine Kent waters are as busy as ones here in Essex, but the busy waters just aren't for me. I would rather catch 5 fish a season away from the crowds, than bagging up on a busy water fully of noddys and having to compete with the weekend crowds.

Yea ur right, most of the lakes around here are busy, i think that coz der aint that many great lakes around this area, u have more of a choice up there.

My first capture of 2005, a 19.08lb mirror. This is my first carp caught on The Matrix. I think the hoody top looks good
