We are all individuals and have our own tastes, likes and dislikes, their are some things that I like in the Fox range but by no means all, for instance I like Fox indicators and thier alarms but I cannot stand thier pods, I much prefer Solar pods.
As for badger, no thanks I have seen some of thier gear on the banks, it was utter rubbish, their gear is cheap because it is cheap quality and will not last so it is false economy buying these inferior goods.
Good secondhand is better value than new Badger.

I have to agree with cammo on this one when i first started seriously fishing for carp i bought cheap and cheerful tackle, within a couple of years it either wore out or fell apart. The majority of my tackle now is brand names and still going strong after years of abuse. You pay more to start with but in the long run it saves you big time.

Just to reiterate on what has already been said I met an angler that had foolishly bought 40 kilos of badger bait, feeling proud of his purchase I informed him that he would not catch a thing on it, and would have done better by buying 10 kilos of a quality bait.
After several weeks of blanking I gave him some of mine and caught on his first trip. I don't think he will be making the same mistake again.

like ive said many times before, badger may be crap, but newcomers to the sport cant afford the likes of delkim, shimano, fox, etc.
