Baynesey, as Lurch says - Get yourself on Stonar and fish within 15 yds of the margins. Use a bait that you know works, I would recommend the Nut Nutty boilies from Yahoo baits. They worked a treat for me last year. When the fish arrive they are there in numbers. Fordwich can be a bit daunting if you are on a bit of a downer, I fished it for years before I had my first from there, once you start to catch the confidence factor is a big plus. So get on Stonar, use a bait, rig etc that you are confident in and keep your ear to the ground - move onto the fish, don't remain static. Hopefully you will catch and then take your experience onto other waters. ;D

Baynesey, nights are good on stonar, more particularly I found the early hours of the morning best. Littlebourne, Birch lake is nice and responds to a stalking approach. The fish take a bait readily off the surface, however I would have a fish and then move on to another swim. I would also avoid it if it is busy ! I live down the road from the lake so it is no big deal for me to go home if it is busy. I find it very slow if there is a lot of noise on there. In short, find a bait supplier that you trust, I can recommend Tackle Tarts on the Wildwood park (Herne Common), use a rig that is simple and has worked for you before. The biggest factor is time, the longer you are there the more likely you are to catch !!! Best of luck M8

Heronsview Fishery Reservoir at Minster is stacked with carp to 30lb-0oz There are approximately 120 Carp in just three acres, now that's a run's water if any with the chance of a biggie the down side is that it is a syndicate water, but for gaining experience I recommend it highly.
As for Lavender Farm yes it is still open and is a prollific water with hundreds if not thousands of small carp I fished there a few years back for a few hours and took 38 crucians and 16 mixed commons and mirrors, in fact it was so prolific I went down to one rod in the end.

thanks hawklord. was on birch friday was very quite, and there were all on top as u said but not feeding i think evenings are best to go der and do a bit of stalking.
i have brought some bait from the tackle tart and will be using it on fordwich sometime this week.

Heronsview is £90.00 per year to fish with a membership of fifty anglers and only eight on the lake at a time with twelve swims to go for in 3 acres it is a clay pit with little or no weed but plenty of pads.
If interested pm me for further details.

Baynesey as far as i kno lavender is still open but you can only fish during the daytime. its easy to fish hence why its popular amoung young fishers. will probably catch in about 15 minutes of arriving. I'm not sure but i don't think theres any doubles in there. If you go there you will catch at least 1 carp this year
