start now, the longer they have time to feed on them the more confident they will be feeding on them, just put a couple of handful it ur pocket when ever u go for a walk,
introduce them in a couple of swim and keep them all going coz as soon as people see u catching it wont be long til people move in on ur swim.

thanks for the info mate , i will start on friday, i dont have the problem of people jumping into swims as i fish a canal thats fairly quiet , and most of us know one another. i was thinking about using an artificial popup and a real one to present a balanced bait? has anyone tried this???

side carp if u can get the artificail tiger and the real one to make the balanced rig just right, so it sinks very slowly through the water, it can be a very deadly rig, Where the baits are so light it will get sucked into the vacum caused in the carp's mouth, this is caused by the way it feed's.
give it ago mate, ur have a great chance of catching..
