Brian Mills is first and foremost a carp angler and his name crops up in most of todays books, he is an extremely good sculpture and was commisioned to do a full size carving of Richard Walkers " clarissa " the then british record carp of 44lb-0oz from Redmire Pool. The curator for this famous carving today is Chris Ball CarvingsBrian will undertake any thing as long as it swims and has fins, ( in his words ) last year I turned 50 I know I don't look it ( in my words ) and my girlfriend had Brian carve me one of my favourite carp, it's beautiful and something i will cherish for the rest of my life. Brian can be contacted on tel: 01843-581177 So if you have a special fish you would like immortalized then give him a call all he needs are two photos one of each side of the fish.

Don't think i have met the guy,but have seen his work. The cavings are exceptional, done to a high standard and will last for years. Love to get one done but can't afford it as he seems quite expensive, but he's brilliant and very talented

Hi ya everybody, first post on here, so be gentle please!!! ;D Some of you may know me through other forums or even on the bank, Porky and Baynesey!!!
Faggy, think the one your on about is a fish known as the Stour fish after a trip to the taxidermist. Quite a historical fish from days gone by.
For Brians work, I know there are a couple of line drawings at Premier, and I am lucky enough to have received a carving from my brother in law who knows Brian. I have photos of it on my PC, but don't know how to post piccys here. My brother in law has quite a collection of carvings as well, a common, mirror, leather, roach, chub, bream, perch, crucian and a beautiful pike stalking a roach. If you get a chance, check out his work.

Hello, My husband Brian had 2 of Brian Mills carvings made of fish he caught at Horseshoe Lake Lechlade, sadly my husband has died and I feel the time is right to sell them. Can you give me any advice as to where to sell them? I have tried the usual places but without success I also have no idea as to there worth. my email address is: lindajackson515@btinternet.com. Thank you.
