In one of the carp mags there is a bit on using freezer sprays on bread etc that are normaly used for freezing electrical componnets, sound a great idea as you could freeze baits together and when they defrost on the lake bed all the baits will be together ie tinned corn. Any one else seen this in the mag and what do you think about it.

yeah i read it i thought it was quite good but the bread i wasn't to saw about it because you freeze the bread to cast it over 100 yards then it defrosts in the water and then the small fish will still eat the bread and your rod could be sitting in the alarm with just your rig without bait
maybe its good when you are casting to showing fish

i aint see the article, but surely the smell's of the spray would put the fish off, even when it is fully defrosted, some carpers dont even like smoking in case the smell goes on the bait, also is there a chance of the chemical's harming the fish?

Most smells evaporate after a wile in or out of the water, if you have ever filled up a lamp with petrol and spilled it onto your hands then you wiped them off, then rebated you'll will most probably still catch fish.
I know that i have.

It did say in the mag that it was not harmfull to fish, as it is also used for freezing water pipes that we all drink out of.

Like i said Danny, the residue will have evaporated by the time a fish finds the bait so there won't be any smell of petrol on the bait.
So i would imagine that using freeze spray should be fine if it stays frozen long thought to get the bait out to where you won't it.
