i had the carp tech 1's for 20 quid, only problem the leds were very bright, didnt like that, so just ungraded to the fox mx's

For budget alarms as said already it has to be the Micron range, I use the MX myself, had them for about 2-3 years now no problems at all.
Delkim alarms do look the business but Ive heard it said that you hardly use all the features they offer, most are pointless but fancy.
