Hi mates
I am a bit young to be thinking about this ;)but when i am older i want to own my own lakes and i was wondering if any of you lot knew any websites that would give me a clue of how much money i will have to safe and other things

That's what most carp anglers want so you are not alone, however I feel the best way go about it in this country is to buy land with planning permission, then all you have to do is apply for a change of use certificate, and you are up and running, after your plans for the site have been approved of course. Then you can dig the lake to your own dimensions.
By far the cheapest way is to go abroad and buy a derelict building with either a lake attached or enough land to build your own, the only problem with this is getting the fishing rights and relevant licences from the local authority.
As for value that depends on the current market rates at the time that you want to purchase, also on the area, as land prices fluctuate from county to county.
